Orange County Marine Technicians

OC Marine Specializes in professional Power Management overhauls

We manage, install, and update power systems on vessels — batteries, inverters, chargers, solar, panels, and the wiring that keeps the boat quiet at the dock and alive underway.

Manage

Diagnose the existing bank, loads, and charging sources before anything gets replaced

Install

New batteries, inverters, chargers, solar, and panels — wired clean and labeled

Update

Power management overhauls that turn a spaghetti locker into a system you can service

Batteries

House, start, and lithium banks sized to the boat and the inverter

Inverters & Chargers

Victron and marine inverter/chargers that combine shore, gen, and solar

Solar & Alternators

Panels, Bluetooth controllers, DC-DC converters, and high-output alternators

Before and After

These are real power-system overhauls — same locker, different outcome. Click a photo to open the pair.

Manage the system you already have

Most boats do not need every component replaced. They need someone to measure loads, find the voltage drop, and decide what stays. We start with the existing bank, chargers, and panel — then recommend an overhaul only where the boat actually fails.

Assessment

  • Load and charging audit
  • Voltage-drop and ground checks
  • Battery health and capacity
  • Panel and breaker review

Monitoring

  • Battery monitors and shunts
  • Victron and Bluetooth controllers
  • State-of-charge at the helm
  • Alarm and low-voltage cutoffs

Control

  • Source switching (shore / gen / inverter)
  • AC and DC panel layouts
  • Load shedding and priority circuits
  • Clean labeling after the work

Install new power equipment

When the bank is done or the inverter is undersized, we spec and install the next system as a unit — batteries, inverter/charger, solar, and protection — not a pile of boxes from three different decades.

Batteries

  • House and start banks
  • AGM and lithium (LiFePO4)
  • Battery relocation and secure mounts
  • Cables, lugs, and fusing

Inverters & chargers

Charging sources

  • Solar panels and controllers
  • High-output alternators
  • Wind generators
  • Amps and distribution

Update and overhaul

Professional power management overhauls are the core of this page: tear out the melted terminals and mystery splices, rebuild the locker, and leave a system that charges from shore, generator, solar, and the engine without fighting itself.

What comes out

  • Corroded cables and undersized wire
  • Unfused positive runs
  • Dead cells and tired chargers

What goes in

  • Correct AWG and tinned cable
  • Class-T / ANL protection
  • Bus bars and labeled circuits

Result

  • Quiet inverter at anchor
  • Faster, safer charging
  • A locker you can service later

Solar, alternators and the rest of the charge picture

A battery bank is only as good as what fills it. We add solar where the boat has roof or arch space, upgrade alternators when the engine is the real charger underway, and use DC-DC converters so the house bank does not starve the start battery.

Solar

  • Marine solar panels
  • Bluetooth solar controllers
  • Array wiring and combiner

Engine & wind

  • High-output alternators
  • External regulators
  • Wind generators

Distribution

  • DC-DC converters
  • Bus bars and amps
  • AC/DC panel upgrades

Ready for a power management overhaul?

Tell us the boat, the marina, and whether the bank is dying, the inverter is noisy, or you want lithium and solar. We come to the slip, look at the locker, and quote the work against what is already there.
